A Note about Elementary Art Grades
Continuing with the NLCS district policy, the Art grades in PowerSchool are determined by the assessments students take in class as we finish each lesson. Students are introduced to the lesson, have an opportunity to apply the topics in their art project, then review what they learned before taking the assessment. Students are given the opportunity to improve their scores by correcting the ones they miss for partial credit. Please contact Mrs. Luck with any questions. Springville Bicentennial Artwork
Bicentennial Art Work
NLCS schools have been included in the Lawrence County Legacy Project as part of the 2018 Lawrence County Bicentennial Celebration. Our art students worked together to make a painting of the old Springville Gymnasium. Artwork will be on display at The Depot in conjunction with the Lawrence County Art Association's display. All NLCS schools worked different themes that relate to our community. After the project is displayed at the conclusion of the relay ending at The Depot, September 15th, the collection will move to other locations before it is hung in its permanent home. Stay tuned for more details.
